Black Rock Martial Arts was established in 2020. We founded this martial arts studio to give people the real skills, real techniques, and the real ability to succeed as a true martial artist. Our staff members combined have over 50 years of experience in the martial arts field from taekwondo to professional mixed martial arts. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality instruction so that our students can have confidence knowing they are learning the best material possible from the most qualified instructors. We strive to maintain a fun, safe, and positive place to train, where everybody is accepted and feels welcome from the moment they walk in the door.

Introducing the Team

Our team is a fun, energetic, group of certified instructors that have experience teaching a wide variety of students and styles of martial art. We pride ourselves on delivering classes that are fresh, engaging, and accessible whether it is your first class or you are an experienced fighter.

Marco Viedas is the owner and head instructor at Black Rock Martial Arts. He has over 15 years of experience coaching and actively competing in mixed martial arts, kickboxing, taekwondo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He holds a third Dan black belt in taekwondo, a purple belt in no-gi jiu jitsu, represented BC in numerous national competitions, was an undefeated amateur kickboxer, formerly a Battlefield Fight League featherweight and bantamweight fighter, and has completed a number of coaching certifications. He has trained all over BC and Canada, including at Tristar Martial Arts in Montreal. He is passionate about creating detailed, fun, and high energy classes for each and every one of his students.

Sarah Moras is a Canadian mixed martial artist specializing in the Bantamweight division. She has competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and was a participant on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate. Before joining the UFC, Moras showcased her skills in Invicta FC. Making her professional MMA debut in May 2010, Moras had accumulated a record of three wins and one loss in the initial two years of her career before her appearance on The Ultimate Fighter. She is currently a Brown Belt in no-gi jiu jitsu under Xtreme Couture head coach Dennis Davis. Sarah has over a decade of experience coaching kids and adults and is one of the most talented mixed martial artists in the world. 

Cameron Kleven is an amazing, enthusiastic instructor- bringing over 10 years of experience to his practice here at Black Rock. He is currently the #4 ranked amateur flyweight in Canada in MMA. He is an incredibly talented striker, grappler, and instructor who gives you all the skills needed to defend yourself and increase your kickboxing, taekwondo, and jiu jitsu skills. 

Chloe Elston is the owner and general manager of Black Rock Martial Arts. She will be your main contact for any questions you have or for anything you may need. As well as managing the gym, she also assists in teaching classes. She is currently a jiu jitsu blue belt and a former high school teacher who is passionate about helping people become confident and capable.  

Cleveland Bentley is a seasoned professional MMA fighter, MMA/Nogi coach, and ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. With extensive experience in both pro and amateur MMA, he’s competed in various promotions, including Battlefield Fight League. As a coach, he shares his expertise with aspiring fighters, guiding them in MMA and Nogi grappling. Bentley is known for his dedication to the sport and continues to inspire the MMA community. He is currently a Brown Belt in no-gi jiu jitsu under Xtreme Couture head coach Dennis Davis and is always learning new techniques to give his students the skills they need to become champions. 

Xavier Annan has been practicing martial arts since he was 5 years old. He is a high level hockey athlete that brings great knowledge of fitness to the team. Xavier has also been an active part of the leadership program at his school. He has been avidly improving his kickboxing skillset and is eager to share his knowledge with the younger generation. He holds a black stripe in taekwondo and is rapidly working towards earning his black belt.
